Hey everyone just wanted to ask for your vote on JPG magazine. This is for the theme “Beloved” and what better photo to submit than this picture of my girlfriend Jessica. Thanks for your support.

The Insomnia Film Festival is a contest where each team only has 24 hours to write, cast, shoot, edit and score a 3-minute movie. Apple will post a list of the required elements that must appear in your film the day of the contest. It begins November 15 at 9 a.m. but is limited to students only. Check out the entries from last year here. My friends and I competed in a similar contest while we were students at Morehead State and I must say it was a real challenge but a great experience. Who knows, we may just post our ‘award-winning’ movie for our readers to see.

Skate & Create is a Transworld Skateboarding sponsored contest where four teams of five skaters were given nine days in a warehouse full of obstacles to create a video. Globe’s entry is not only full of incredible skating (the 180 to nose manual on a giant teeter totter at 3:08 is amazing) it is also visually stunning. I’m really liking the psychedelic groove.

I’m asking for your help once again. JPG magazine has now closed the theme “Creatures” to any new entries. Voting will continue until June 10th. I would appreciate your VOTE if you haven’t already for this final push. For all that voted thank you very much. Again JPG magazine will ask you to create an account if you don’t have one, but don’t worry its a great site and magazine. Thanks
