Adrian Johnson is a UK based designer/illustrator with an impressive portfolio full of stylish and thoughtful work. I really like the 50’s and 60’s influence. Be sure to check the animation section of his site while you’re there.
I really dig Josh Keyes work and he has a huge portfolio to look through. Make sure you check out his sketches as well, very cool to see his thought process. I would love to see these in person. Great job.
There’s one week to go before the presidential election and thingsarefine.org is spreading the word with some nicely designed posters available for download. Check out the rest of the posters here.
One of my early influences, even before I knew it, had to be the opening titles to SE7EN. I really dug the typography and the stained, scratchy and worn textures everywhere. All the dark images had me before the movie even started. If you feel the same way about movie titles you’re gonna love The Art of the Title Sequence. They have so many great titles and you can watch them in high quality. Some of my favorites include: Lord of War, Stranger than Fiction, Napoleon Dynamite, and Catch Me if You Can just to name a few. Fantastic site.
An interesting look behind the scenes of Annie Leibovitz photographing the Queen. It took three weeks to prepare for the 30min. shoot. Leibovitz also has eleven assistants with her on site. Click here if you can’t view the video.
Hey everyone just wanted to ask for your vote on JPG magazine. This is for the theme “Beloved” and what better photo to submit than this picture of my girlfriend Jessica. Thanks for your support.
School of Everything is a social learning network that connects people who can teach with people who want to learn. They have so many topics to choose from. I noticed during the tour that the categories range from Academic Tutoring to Arts and Crafts. Some of the leasons that I thought were interesting were Comedy Scriptwriting and Social Design. What a great idea and its free to sign up. Very cool.
